Century Aluminum’s Mt. Holly, South Carolina facility is the nation’s current youngest, most advanced plant of its kind. It has a production capacity of 229,000 metric tons. It employs more than 500 people. According to a study by the University of South Carolina, our smelter is responsible for more than 1,894 indirect jobs in the surrounding area with a statewide economic impact of $892 million each year.

In Sebree, Kentucky, the Century Aluminum smelter has a production capacity of 220,000 metric tons. It employs 632 employees from the surrounding area. According to the Kentucky Cabinet of Economic Development, our plant spurs economic activity throughout the state, making a $750 million impact each year.

In Grundartangi, Iceland, Century Aluminum Nordural serves European customers exclusively. Century Aluminum is also a majority partner and operator of Jamalco, a bauxite mining and alumina refinery company in Jamaica.
